Pipeline and Midstream Chemicals

Jacam Catalyst’s field personnel is supported by a dedicated group of Pipeline Technologists in addition to a team of NACE-Certified, Internal Corrosion Technicians. Our data-driven approach assesses the risks, provides solutions to maintain integrity, and provides flow assurance while meeting today’s regulatory and compliance standards. Each midstream system faces its own unique challenges, and our programs are tailored to mitigate those risks.

Integrity Management

Microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC), acid-gas and oxygen attack, and under-deposit corrosion problems lead to pipeline failures and unplanned repair and maintenance that leads to lost throughput. They also present safety and environmental hazards. Jacam Catalyst’s products help protect your investment in your system and keep your pipelines flowing.

We offer:

  • EPA-Registered Biocides
  • Corrosion Inhibitors
  • Proprietary Binary Corrosion Inhibitors
  • Specialty Corrosion Inhibitors (Oxygen Tolerant)
  • Traditional Triazine and Proprietary H2S Scavengers
  • Oil-Soluble H2S Scavengers
  • Oxygen Scavengers

Flow and Process Assurance

Corrosion byproducts, formation fines, scales, hydrates, water holdups, and paraffin depositions can all disrupt flow leading to reduced throughput and increased horsepower demand. Our suite of midstream products is designed to remove or prevent the deposition of unwanted debris. Jacam Catalyst’s dewatering process has proven successful at removing stagnant liquids from pipelines and lowering line pressures in non-piggable pipelines thus, increasing throughput.

We offer:

  • Pipeline cleaners
  • Anti-Foulants
  • Hydrate Inhibitors
  • Defoamers
  • Paraffin/Asphaltene Products
  • Salt Inhibitors
  • Scale Inhibitors
  • Drag Reducing Agents (DRAs)

SuperCorr® PT Binary Corrosion Inhibitor

Our patented binary corrosion inhibitor, SuperCorr® PT, is highly successful at treating internal corrosion on pipelines. SuperCorr® PT is applied to pipelines with pigs and forms a tenacious net-like microfilm barrier that becomes part of the metal’s matrix and lasts up to four times as long as traditional amine inhibitors. The product formulation of SuperCorr® PT provides a more persistent film than conventional amine inhibitors while providing unexcelled corrosion protection in sweet or sour gas environments and hydrocarbon liquid pipelines.

PDW 4031 - Dewatering Technology

PDW 4031 is a water-soluble surfactant blend that can be utilized to dewater gas pipelines. The product is applied through a slug batch process. As the PDW 4031 water mixture it is pumped into the pipeline it creates a moderately stable foam that results in a slug flow pattern that will initially begin to unload water from the pipeline. The specially formulated PDW 4031 foam exhibits a half-life that will collapse before causing excessive back pressures, then foam again at any point of inflection through the line.

As water is removed the gas flow area of the pipe is increased which results in increased gas velocity. At velocities above 5-7 ft/sec wavy stratified or slug flow characteristics prevail allowing the PDW 4031 to foam repeatedly and continue to dewater the pipeline until dilution below active foaming concentration occurs.
